Thai massage is performed with the client fully clothed, on a mat on the floor. A classic Thai massage combines acupressure, compression massage, and yogic stretching. Some people have described it as “passive yoga”, or “having someone do yoga to you”, but Thai massage is about much more than stretching. Spot specific therapy sessions for those wishing to focus in on treating pain will employ a variety of methods. Traditionally, Thai massages take a minimum of one and one half hours and can last up to three hours or more. For this reason, we do not offer one-hour sessions. We recommend a two hour session for optimal benefits. Massage sessions at The Naga Center must be booked in advance. Please wear loose comfortable clothing with underwear, and do not wear skirts or shorts. If you have any special conditions such as acute injury or pregnancy, please inform us at the time of booking. Currently all treatments are offered by Nephyr Jacobsen, L.M.T. and founder of The Naga Center. It is recommended that you schedule in advance as she tends to book a couple of weeks out. As Naga Center students become expert, some will be invited to join our clinic in order to better serve the needs of our massage clientele.

A Note about Session Times

Times noted for massage sessions are approximate. For example, a two hour massage session may take two hours and fifteen minutes, or may take one hour and forty five minutes. Times are affected by such circumstances as intake time requirements, client needs, and the pacing an individual massage takes on.

Traditional Thai Massage Spot Specific Therapy Session for Pain Relief - 1 to 2 hours, $80 to $110

Traditional Thai Massage w/Hot Herbal Compress Treatment – approximately 3 hours $200.00

Pre-natal Thai Massage – 60 min. $80.00 (pre-natal Thai massage is done using hot herbal compresses.)

Fusion – Deep Tissue Swedish Thai Integration – 90Min. $80.00 -This is an oil/lotion massage, performed with the client on a massage table, undressed. It is an incredibly relaxing and therapuetic blend of the best of Swedish and Thai.

At times Nephyr offers Thai massage sessions when she travels out of town. Thai massages outside of Portland are offered for $150 for a two hour session. Thai massage students wishing to book a massage during an out of town workshop are offered sessions at Portland rates.
